(Sacramento) – California State Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) commented today on the Governor’s scheduled State of the State address. (Governor Brown is scheduled to deliver the annual State of the State address to a joint session of the State Legislature tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th, at 10am.) Speaker Pérez says even though California is outpacing the nation on job creation, we know this will be another year of difficult decisions for policy makers. Last year, Assembly Democrats worked with the Governor to produce an on-time budget that eliminated more than three quarters of our ongoing deficit. Assembly Democrats are committed to working with the Governor to build on the progress we’ve made by securing new revenues to finally bring the budget into complete balance.
