We have heard from Cal EMA that business owners in Calexico have been approached by fraudulent safety assessors telling business owners that their businesses must be assessed before they can resume business and charging them a fee to do that assessment. If you are rebuilding, beware of unlicensed contractors that prey on victims of natural disasters – visit the Earthquake Information Center website put together by the Contractors State License Board or call the CSLB’s Hotline for disaster victims only: 800-962-1125.
