Sacramento - SACRAMENTO, CA – El Asambleísta Roger Hernández (D-San Gabriel Valley) presentó un nuevo proyecto de ley, AB 1561, que busca evitar que los aumentos de compensación para los administradores de los sistemas universitarios de CSU y UC sean financiados por medio de fondos estatales o de ingresos de tarifa del estudiante. El proyecto de ley también pone un tope al máximo de salario a los cancilleres y presidentes de la Universidad Estatal de California y Universidad de California.
"Aumentar los salarios a los administradores mientras aumenta la matricula, y haciéndolo sucesivamente sobre las espaldas de los estudiantes que tienen cuentan con menos clases a disposición , salones llenos, y menos ayuda financiera es inaceptable,” comentó Hernández. “Esta ley asegurará que los administradores de los sistemas de CSU y UC no se beneficien a costa de los impuestos del estado y los estudiantes.
