Representing the 57th District
(Sacramento) – California is facing a brain drain because of skyrocketing tuition costs at public universities and colleges. But a plan by Speaker John A. Pérez could put California back on the right track. It’s called the Middle Class Scholarship(www.middleclassscholarship.com). California State Assemblymember Roger Hernandez (D-San Gabriel Valley) says the Scholarship would cut tuition at public colleges by 2/3, for qualified students who come from working class families.
