As I gather with family and friends, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. While 2011 may have been a difficult year for many of us, we must remain hopeful and continue to work together to overcome our challenges.

This year, I have scored a number of legislative victories to create jobs, enhance public safety, protect the rights of workers, and save taxpayer dollars by increasing government efficiency.

Next year, I will focus even more on revitalizing our district particularly in economic development and bringing jobs into our communities.
