(Sacramento) - In order to make college less expensive and more accessible, Assemblymember Holly Mitchell (D-Los Angeles) is joining Speaker John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) to pass a bold plan to close a tax loophole benefitting out-of-state corporations in order to cut college fees by two-thirds for middle class Californians. Assemblymember Mitchell Hosts Veterans Town Hall/Expo

Assemblymember Mitchell: California Dreams Fulfilled
(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Holly Mitchell (D-Culver City) says the California Dream Act, recently signed by Governor Brown, will allow many deserving students to realize their dreams of a high quality education and in the process help improve California's economy. The California Dream Act is comprised of two pieces of legislation: AB 130 allows public universities to permit eligible undocumented students to qualify for private scholarships administered by the public universities and AB 131 extends that eligibility to institutional financial aid administered by UC, CSU and the California Community Colleges, as well as to Cal Grants.
