(Goleta, CA) – Assemblymember Das Williams (D-Santa Barbara) was recently joined by over 20 agencies and community organizations in the Goleta Valley Community Center for an emergency preparedness fair. The experts were there to answer questions on how to prepare your family, pets, and workplace in case of an emergency or disaster. A special workshop session on building an emergency kit and how to turn off your utilities were part of the fair. Assemblymember Williams says he’s lived through disasters growing up in Southern California and knows it’s critical to be prepared before the next disaster strikes.
