AB 37 Expediting Construction Projects for Job Creation
AB 37 would avoid delays in the creation of constructions jobs by allowing project applicants, whose projects are subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review, to have the lead agency prepare the administrative record at the same time as the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) review process.

AB 42 Mortgage Debt Forgiveness Conformity Law
AB 42 would conform California law to federal law by extend the tax relief on forgiveness of mortgage debt to January 1, 2014. Homeowners have one more year to complete a short sale or loan modification to benefit from the federal tax break that otherwise would have expired December 31, 2012.

AB 69 Clean Water for Nitrate-at-Risk Areas
AB 69 would direct state agencies to identify regions of the state that are at risk for nitrate contamination and to coordinate resources and establish a fund to finance interim solutions that provide immediate access to safe drinking water in areas with pervasive contamination.

AB 219 Access to Cancer Treatment Act
AB 219 would ensure California cancer patients have access to the most appropriate and effective cancer treatments by requiring health care service plan contracts and health insurance policies to limit patient out-of-pocket costs to $100 per filled prescription for covered oral anticancer medications.

AB 300 Funding Local Emergency Services
AB 300 would ensure funding to maintain effective and efficient 911 systems by developing a statewide mechanism to include prepaid services in the already-established collection of fees applied to wireless communication services while also benefitting local governments and other public purpose programs.

AB 327 Rate Payer Equity Act
AB 327 would eliminate the rate restrictions adopted during the energy crisis and would provide the CPUC the flexibility to implement what they determine to be the appropriate course of action on rate design and approve rate structure modifications, which are fair and reasonable, and are in line with the state's energy policy goals and objectives.

AB 607 Death Benefits for Dependent Children of Fallen Officers Act
AB 607 would clarify worker's compensation death benefits law for physically or mentally incapacitated children of peace officers who are lost in the line of duty. The existing language has resulted in inconsistent claim decisions limiting rather than expanding benefits to these children.
