Assemblymember Campos Honors Rolanda Pierre-Dixon as Woman of the Year in the State Assembly Featured

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Assemblymember Nora Campos (D-San José) on Monday, March 21, 2011 honored Santa Clara County Assistant District Attorney Rolanda Pierre-Dixon for her commitment to ending domestic violence in Santa Clara County at a ceremony held in the Assembly Chambers.

Pierre-Dixon was honored for her tireless efforts to end and prevent domestic violence in Santa Clara County.  Chief among her contributions to the residents of Santa Clara County is the creation of the Domestic Violence Unit in the District Attorney's Office.

"Rolanda's dedication to ending domestic violence is widely known and admired," said Assemblymember Campos, "Her commitment is truly inspiring and it has been an honor to work with her."

Pierre-Dixon was honored at a 'Women of the Year' brunch and ceremony in the Assembly chambers featuring guest speakers Attorney General Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Debra Bowen.

Assemblymember Campos represents the 23rd Assembly District, which includes downtown San José, East San José and the Monterey Road Corridor.
